GAC R&D Center, established in 2006 as the technology management institution at the heart of the R&D system of GAC Group, is responsible for independent product development, independent technology plan making, and technology implementation and management. 
As a design center of GAC R&D, GAC Design has been creating world-class automotive designs including a series of concept and production vehicles, supporting the fast growth of GAC Group. The design team is comprised of a group of creative talents with diverse backgrounds and experiences, and come from all around the world. The global design network has studios in Guangzhou (HQ), Shanghai, Los Angeles, and Milan. 
Last October, GAC inaugurated GAC R&D CENTER EUROPE, its first design center in Europe, in Milan. Intended to consolidate the Group's design tradition, the innovative space in Milan's Via Tortona design district will be a global hub, a breeding ground for talent, ideas, and innovative projects. 
Based on a global R&D network and in-house platform, a series of more than 50 self-owned brand products have been developed, including petrol cars, EVs, and concept cars. Its latest petrol cars include M8, All-new GS8, EMPOW, EMKOO. EVs include Hyper GT, Hyper SSR, AION Y, AION S Plus, AION LX. Recent concept cars include BARCHETTA, SPACE, TIME, MOCA and ENPULSE.
